A Weekend Of Wonderful Weather...

It was in the upper 80s all weekend and it was a great feeling since this was the 1st weekend it was this warm this year. We were at my parents and we were outside for the most part and I hated to go inside but we had to go to bed or come home on Sunday.

Here are some pics I took during the weekend,my parents even have wild ducks that come to their back yard daily to eat:

Life can throw you off...

Even these past two days nothing real exciting has happened to me. Certain events or thoughts in my head have been making me think about my life and life in general and just wonder why life is what it is. It can be so confusing. Like how would it be possible to fall in love with someone online that you only know for few weeks? Or the fact, you think you care about them so much you want to meet them so much but currently they are basically across the world from you and if they wanted too they can not even meet you just yet. How is it that this person is saying everything so right, you are so scared they are so wrong for you? Or they are not for real?

Then you get to babysit for a friend, you get her 6 yr old and her 11 month old. The 6 yr old is fine with my daughter, except a few little disagreements but nothing we can work out. But now the 11 month old is a different story lol. As soon as mom leaves, he screams and cries for her. Yes he is a mama's boy and yes she knows it. I feel bad for her because she has told me she is at lost in what to do about this issue as well. But man oh man, this lil guy did not stop crying from the time she left from the time she came back. And she left about 6:30P.M. and she got back around 10P.M. The ONLY time he did stop crying was when he took a 20 minute nap lol. Talk about life throwing you off, poor guy. (And Heather if you ever read this post this is not complaint lol just an insightful point about life lol). You would think he was dying without her but nope he was fine and he did survive...life went on without mama. :)

I just hope for my sake, I know soon if this guy I am talking to is for real before I do go insane and I hope for this 11m old sake he learns to realize his mama is not leaving him forever and he will survive! ;)

But yes Life can throw you off but, what does not kill you makes you stronger...

My bathroom got a facelift today...

My landlord came today to put in new tiles on the celing since some were cracked and had some holes in them and well since I am part of the Section 8 program they do not like to any flaws at all. Plus I needed a new heat register as the other one got pretty old and beating up by my wheelchair. So, I guess when he took out the old tiles he also fixed my fan light in the bathroom as well. :) The only problem now is the light switches got switched lol. I am happy it got done, it looks better but sheesh it took him longer than I thought because he came over not knowing how many titles to get so he had to go back out to get more...

And as a rule whatever extras he has or things he needs for this house he stores either in the basement or in the attic (where it is drier) and I never really had a problem with that as long he kept his stuff away from mine or just let me know when he is coming. Well, he had extra titles so he was going to store them up in the attic like he did before but my neighbor/PCA told him she rather have her DH or one of her kids do it for him because it will be easier on him but there are other reasons why....she has animals and extra tentants up there that he may or may not know about up there. But anyhow, then her DH comes down stairs and sees the tiles in the hallway and asks "Why are these doing in OUR Hallway?!?" She explains, that the landlord wants them go in the attic but she told him that one of them would take them up there. He replies, "Hell we are that is our attic and our place we rent and I am tired of them using our place as storage". Then, kicks the titles down into the basement stairs! Now I understand his frustration, I really do because the landlord does walk into their home unannounced and just go in the attic without calling etc...but he had no right kicking or possibilily damaging someone's property. I heard from my PCA each tile does cost $5 so not sure what was left. So, now if he comes back and asks why is the tile downstairs/in the basement instead in the attic we have to say "Ask Jesse."

Sometimes I wish I could snap my fingers and be able have my own place then I would not have to worry about crazy landlords or upstairs neighbors. :)

Her Smile Sure Did Blow Me Away Today...

Alexis had her 6 month cleaning routine for her teeth today right after school at 3:00P.M. The only problem was the fact she thought I was going to pick her up at school, (I said was but as a rule if I am not by the bus just go home on the bus). So, instead even going out to the buses she just stayed in her classroom thinking I would be getting her inside ugh. When I learned she was not on the bus, my PCA and her MIL offered to drive up and get her since it was now 2:30P.M. In the meantime, that is when I got the phone call from her school saying she was in the office waiting for me. ack! I told them to please have her go outside to meet with my PCA. They come home, we zoom off to the dentist by wheelchair. I am not sure how many blocks it is from my house but I say about 20+ blocks depending where you go and it takes about a half hour to get there by wheelchair lol. So we left the house about 2:48P.M. and arrived about 3:14P.M. Are you wondering how Alexis got there? She holds on behind my wheelchair and stands on the back of it LOL. She has been doing this as long as she could walk/stand. :) What a way to travel huh? It is funny to see and hear people responses. Some common remarks are: "Now that is one cool way to travel", or "I wish I can travel that way!" LOL.

But what also made this day hard was the fact the winds were blowing up too 45-55 MPH and the temp was between 45-50 degrees so the winds made it feel colder.

And the fact, we just made it to the to the appointment by the skin of our teeth (pardon the pun). But she did great at the appointment. The gentleman who did the cleaning of her teeth was awesome-a true jokester and had her laughing and telling her jokes to make her smile and have her keep her mouth open. ;) For example, as he clean, he will say do not bite my fingers off, or my hand, or arm off etc...And when she tried to tell him it was sour he would tease her and say well give me a second so I can help rinse lol. He even gave her a Hannah Montana sticker. Then the dentist himself came to check out her teeth. He looked at them for a couple minutes and said, "Wow what a great job, keep up the good work." and see you in the next 6 months. :)

When she was all done she smiled at me, that is when I went OOOO look at that sparkling smile! So, right now my daughter has a clean happy sparkling smile with no cavities, YAY!

And of course, we had to head back home the same 45-55 MPH winds but thank goodness it was not raining, that at least stopped and/or held off until we got back home.

What has been in my mind...

Well I been at home alone this weekend as my daughter went to her grandparents for the weekend so I decided to go on a little shopping spree for a new Spring/Summer wardrobe for her since she hates shopping for clothes and well since I did that I treated me to some new Spring clothes as well and well I been having some songs in my head that I been wanting to own so I ended up buying the CDs for this weekend too. I got Beyonce; Single Ladies, Rascal Flatts new CD just because I just love them period lol and well thanks too one of my good friends Melissa, I got STYX- (their best of) The Milliennium Collection because their is one song on their she played for me in the memory of her daughter Caylpso, "Come Sail Away" and when I heard this song I also feel in love with it.

Here are the lyrics:

Written by dennis deyoung
Lead vocals by dennis deyoung

Im sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea
Ive got to be free, free to face the life thats ahead of me
On board, Im the captain, so climb aboard
Well search for tomorrow on every shore
And Ill try, oh lord, Ill try to carry on

I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory
Some happy, some sad
I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had
We live happily forever, so the story goes
But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold
But well try best that we can to carry on

A gathering of angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said
They said come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me

I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise
They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies
Singing come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me

and my favorite video/youtube of the song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgAdSMMdFmI

TY again Melissa for sharing this song with me!

Then the other song is Sing Ladies (Put a ring on it) from Beyonce

All the single ladies (7x)

Now put your hands up
Up in the club, we just broke up
I’m doing my own little thing
Decided to dip but now you wanna trip
Cuz another brother noticed me
I’m up on him, he up on me
dont pay him any attention
cried my tears, for three good years
Ya can’t be mad at me

[Chorus]
Cuz if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it
If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it
Don’t be mad once you see that he want it
If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it

(Chorus)
I got gloss on my lips, a man on my hips
Got me tighter than my Dereon jeans
acting up, drink in my cup
I could care less what you think
I need no permission, did I mention
Dont pay him any attention
Cuz you had your turn
But now you gonna learn
What it really feels like to miss me

(Chorus)

Don’t treat me to the things of the world
I’m not that kind of girl
Your love is what I prefer, what I deserve
Here's a man that makes me then takes me
And delivers me to a destiny, to infinity and beyond
Pull me into your arms
Say I’m the one you want
If you don’t, you’ll be alone
And like a ghost I’ll be gone

All the single ladies (7x)
Now put your hands up

(Chorus)

All my single ladies throw your hands in the air
All my single ladies throw your hands in the air

Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it like that
Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it like that

Here we go again, check on your man
Fast as we can, we got an evil plan
If you can't follow me, get out the game
Call for backup as soon as you hear my name!

Hook:
It's time to get nasty
Look at me, I'm fabulously sexy
[ Beyonce Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
Front of the line, VIP
We're celebrity

Chorus:
You got me feeling nasty baby
It's kinda hot but it's so damn crazy
It feels so good to be a single lady, baby
Don't be afraid to explore my body
Take off your clothes, get naughty
Let's funk away this party

Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it like that
Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it like that

Don't know where I left my cell phone
I mean, this song really turns me on
We could be jamming all night long
The vibe is coming over me so strong
I'm feeling we've just begun
Let me help you put it on

Repeat Chorus

T-Pain:
TP and B-E-E
Sure u aint ready to party with the wife of Jay Z
She pretend to be a single lady
So she can ride with me
I came in to check on her
But I keep looking at shorty
she so hot that I wish she was my beyonce
(Cant understand this part lol)
Nappy boy in love with baby bee

All my single ladies throw your hands
All my single ladies throw your hands
All my single ladies theow your hands up
In the air!

Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it
Do it, do it, do it like that

And Finally:

Rascal Flatts: Unstoppable CD

Love who you love

should have stolen every moment
Now there's a page with not enough on it
Where we belong
I guess I'll never understand it
Why do we take it all for granted
Until it's gone
Cause then it's gone

Love who you love
With all that you have
And don't waste the time that flies so fast
Love who you love
And say that you do
Hold on as tight as they'll let you
Love who you love

Give all ya' got like its your last day
your heart and soul before its too late
And pull 'em in
So close enough that they can feel it
With every single breath that you're breathin'
Breathe it in again and again

Love who you love
With all that you have
And don't waste the time that flies so fast
Love who you love
[ Rascal Flatts Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
And say that you do
Hold on as tight as they'll let you

Hold on, Hold on
Love who you love
Say that you do
yeah yeah yeah

Love who you love
With all that you have
And don't waste the time that flies so fast
Love who you love
And say that you do
Hold on as tight as they'll let you

Love who you love
yeah yeah

Hold on, keep on holding on
yeah, yeah
With every single breath you're breathing

Love who you love
Love who you love
again and again and again and again

Muscus Go Away And Come Another Century...

I am so tired of blow my nose and getting this gunk out of my nose! I even tried to call mt Dr. this AM to make some arrangements but they did not work out like I hoped. They think all I need is Muninex no antibiotics and what I have is viral but if I want to come in to make sure. So I asked to see my Dr on Monday instead, well my Dr. has a same day call rule so at first the receptionist nurse told me to call back on Monday AM to reshedule an appointment, I then had to explain to her I have to use a disabled transit that requires me to tell them 24 hrs adavance where I need to go. So she understood and gave me a 2:30pm Appt. Only oned problem I realized after 5pm that Alexis has a 3PM dentist appointment on Monday too. I am so mad at myself that I forgot that and would put two appointments together like that. So, now it looks like if I am still sick I won't get to see my Dr until Tuesday now if I am lucky. So I did take some Muninex to help me but I am still tired of it!

I did some you tubing and found...

And I found this interesting video about my Presque Isle you see I knew about sunken ships due to the war of 1812 I believe and we even have a Bay named "Misery Bay" where most of the ships sank but anyhow here is the video I saw:

And here is a restored ship that they did "Niagara":

When Online Computer Games Become Too Addictive...

1. When you child runs to the computer as soon as they come from school

2. Will not take no breaks other than go to the bathroom (if you remind them)

3. Will not eat dinner unless you offer the keyboard as their plate

4. Will not think about doing homework unless you count 1, 2, 3... 5. When it is time for bed they beg for some more extra time to finish what they are doing....

6. You give them that warning if they do not get ready for bed, they will not have computer time tomorrow...

7. They look at you as the world is coming to the end and plea to you to give them one more chance....

8. They get ready for bed...

9. They ask about computer time again.

10. Time will tell

11. They go to bed for the night with tears in their eyes...

That is when you know online computer games become too addictive

*******

Yes I am talking about my daughter who gave me a hard time about getting off the computer to go to bed tonight, and she gave me mouth so because of that I figured the best punishment would be to give her no computer time for tomorrow night and OMG you would think I was killing her lol...oh well. Life is so hard for these young kids these days I tell ya. She will get over it I know she will because she always does. Oh in case you are wondering what is this "popular" online game is called it's: Barbie Girls

The Girl Scout Meeting that Never Was...

Alexis been excited to go too her "3rd" meeting but technically it would be their 5th one. However, once we got there there was talk they were still waiting for 3 more kids and/or the Co-Leader and the Leader had said without the Co-Leader there, the meeting can not go on. Now, here I am thinking, if that was the case why couldn't A. the Leader call to make sure the Co-Leader could come today before the rest of us got there! or B. The Leader call everyone on the list to remind everyone about the meeting since we just had a long Easter break. As it end up, the Co-Leader did forget and could not make it, so the Leader, another Mother and myself wasted our time showing up at the school. It took me to suggest to the Leader to CALL the Co-Leader to see if she was coming or not vs. just sitting waiting any longer...she eft her cell phone at home so I offered mine to call. What also made it upsetting was the fact Alexis was excited to see her "GS friends" just to have to leave. And the other two Moms decided to have a play date at one of their houses to make up for the "no GS meeting" but discussed this in front of Alexis and myself. Granted these two Mothers probably knew each other from last years GS but I still felt "bad for Alexis' so I told Alexis to come with me and I told her I was taking her to Dairy Queen. I was planning on it anyhow after the meeting but I was also hoping to do some Grocery shopping while she was at girl scouts but instead she came with and end up being my helper again. :) But I tell you if they keep canceling because of forgetfulness or not enough quorum or sickness I am going to be very unhappy! It seems like this Troop is very disorganized already and that is very disturbing to me (not blaming it all on the leaders). Oh because we decided to have a parent bring in a snack, the one parent tonight had snacks but will just keep them for next time...But that was going to be Alexis' turn but now she will be bumped for another 4 weeks from now.

So Life Is Back To Normal Or Is It?...

Alexis went back to school today...

But I still woke up with a runny nose and a sore throat and of course I realize it must be a sinus infection for sure! Yay Me! Not! I guess with all the running around last week did it for me. I just hope I can fight off, if not it is more antibotics for me.

And I also now have a trail of Ants that is coming from my floor board, so that is something else I have to deal with now. I think I solved that problem by pouring some baby powder in the hole to confuse them and I was told they will not know where to go with baby powder so we shall see.

I will now leave you with this inspirational video:

Worn Out...

I just can not believe how worn out I am today/night after what seems us going and going non-stop since last Wednesday! I feel like I could sleep for a week but I just can't. I even think Alexis is starting to feel it as she has been a bit crank herself. I just hope her going back to school tomorrow won't be affected. I also do not think me coming down with more sinuses issues help either. I been having more post nasal drip which I feel going down my throat and it is cause me to have a sore throat as well. :( I sure hope after tomorrow or at least by Wednesday everything will be back to normal as our schedules and our lives go. Because my body is worn out!

Happy Easter????

Well Today was Easter and yes it was suppose to be Happy. I decided to celebrate
and have Easter at my parents vs home since Alexis now knows the "truth". So, the night before I had my mom help hid her baskets like I would normally then before I went to bed I asked her to please to wake me up for breakfast time so I can eat with everyone on Easter AM and then Alexis can do her search for her baskets etc....

Well, Alexis comes in Easter AM to say to me wake up Mommy breakfast is going to be ready soon so I say okay hunny. So, I start to get up and my Mom comes in to notify me that Alexis has been fed already because did not want to have make her wait etc...and that I can still eat with her...So I finally get down stairs but Alexis is not there, she is upstairs playing on the computer. My Mom had to almost beg her to come downstairs to have Easter with us and to actually look for her baskets! I was in shock! Especially, when my Mom just gave me grief that it was not fair I make HER wait for me to get up before she can see or look for her gifts on Christmas or on Easter. ugh.

She FINALLY comes down and admits to me she already knew where the baskets were! She said she found them earlier in the AM when she first woke up. Part of me was furious at my parents for letting her "look" without me but again I was not sure if they were in the room at the time or not...but I was not happy with their response. She was excited you can't blame her for that can you? Yes, I can when I told her the night before to wait until mommy woke up. So, at this point I was thinking why did I wake up for again? Especially to the fact as soon she got out the baskets out from the hiding spots she ran back upstairs to the computer again!

What also made me want to knock her out was the fact her grandparents got her a basket of stuff. Mainly she got a sweatshirt and my mom added her name on it and I was trying to be funny by saying, "Oh you lucky, I want one too". So instead of keeping her mouth shut, Alexis goes, "Do not worry you got one too"! That really irritated me so much, she knows better to keep stuff like that quiet. That really bummed me out it was like I could not be excited about ANYTHING that day because if my daughter.

And when I mentioned to my Mom that I kinda wish I had help keeping her off the computer, because my parents would not tell her no or would not tell her stay downstairs or anything if I were to tell Alexis to stay. It is not like I could keep going upstairs to tell her no. This is what my mom said to me: Oh you want her off the computer and just be bored to death because there is nothing else to do? I go no, she will be with me because it is Easter! I even mentioned to her that is why I am not on my laptop etc...
And that is when my Mom rubbed it in my face, now you know how it feels when you are on your laptop all the time when Alexis wants to be with you etc...I went excuse me?!? I am only on my laptop when there in nothing else to do!!!

Happy Easter eh? Just say, after this discussion we had a family drive to drop off some Easter gifts off to my Sisters and pick up my Easter candy I forgot that my Aunt made me at my Aunt's then we came back to my house. What a long weekend.

Easter with Da Fam...

Alexis colored some eggs before we went to visit da family for Easter:

****************
On Saturday, we celebrated Easter with my Dad's side of the family and well we got to see some family we had not seen or got to seen since summer. It felt good and nice to see them. What made it special was my younger cousins who are in their younger 20s even included Alexis in stuff like playing some board games and such because she was the ONLY "kid" there. The only thing was when she felt she was loosing or no one was was letting her win, they would "let her win" once in awhile on purpose lol. I enjoyed it too because I got to bond with my young cousins again and it caught up with their lives. And what was cool about this day too is the fact, my Aunt makes her own chocolate and it is so yummy and she gave everyone their own "baggy" of chocolates as a gift. And all I can say is YUMMY!

Happy GOOD Friday Everyone!

Today I went to see my Mom's family and I had a good time. I had to get up early though then we traveled about two hours to see them. My Grandmother and my two Uncles live in this town together-in fact they even live on the same street LOL. But we are all grateful this Easter for several reasons:

My Grandmother is a Breast Cancer Survivor she just battled and had to undergo breast hysterectomy last year. And my one Uncle just had some heart troubles that they took cared of just last week! All he had was irregular heart beats and they fixed his electrolytes in his heart so now his heart is beating regular and will never have that problem again.

It was nice to see everyone there too because we had not seen them all winter long. And I got to see one of my baby cousins again and boy did she grow!

Here are some Pics I took that day of Alexis and me:

A Girl's Day Out

Today my friend, Tina and Alexis & I decided to get our hair cut as well colored (well Tina & I). Then afterwords, we saw the Easter Bunny at the Mall. The only problem was it took three hours just to do our hair. And it was 7:00pm before we got done. So it it was about 7:15pm we we got to the Easter Bunny. We were all starving at this point and I was still was hoping to get some chocolates at a local chocolate/candy store up the street and the bus was on its way to the mall at 7:50pm. So we get that bus to get that store but I tell my friend and kid to just me at Wal-Mart because there was a subway there plus there was a couple things we needed there. The catch was we needed to leave there by 9:40pm. As it was the last bus back to town/home for the evening. Well needless to say because my daughter could not make up her mind on a "Easter gift/basket" she wanted from me, we missed the last bus! So that left us calling the disabled yellow cab to get us, which usually costs $10 per person to go only 4 miles away. And since this cab only can fit one wheelchair it costs us $20 total which is BS. So by the time we got home it was about 11pm or so. And one of my guy friend's had to come over to drop off some candy for Alexis. So, just say I am dead tired from my girl's day out.

I am a Sinner, you are Sinner, Hell we all are!

Yep that is right, we are all sinners and if you do not believe that, you are going to Hell. LOL Well that is what I learned tonight and know from my faith. So please do be offended by this post if you have a different faith than me. I just wanted to blog that I went to a Catholic Church tonight and no I am not Catholic but a Methodist but was invited to go by a friend so I went. But the Father I listened to tonight was awesome and a great speaker and he did help me open my eyes a bit more or at least help me re-open them.
Here is a video I want to share with you - it is the same Father who I saw tonight:

and here is another video that touched me for the night by the same Father that spoke at the church I went to tonight:

Again I hope this blog/post touched you as much it did me tonight.

I thought the Home is where the HEART is?

Well apparently I am wrong!

I got a freaking letter today from the landlady telling me otherwise and reminded me the house I am staying in and paying rent for is HER house! Let me explain:

Ok last Friday,

One of their daughters called me to asked me if I had rent ready now this threw me since I thought she was still in HS and why should she be doing their job for them so I asked her: Why was she calling instead of her parents? And her reply was because her mom asked her too then she passed the phone over to her mom. The landlady then tells me she asked her to call etc...and then again asked me if I had my rent money ready and if I would be available within that next hour I said yes.

Ok, so 4:15pm comes and the door knocks I tell Alexis to let her in and to get my purse so I can fill out the MO. (I was in the living room still). So, after I try to say hello, I ask Alexis is she inside? She goes no. I told Alexis well invite her in! I am thinking to myself why wouldn't she come in but oh well. I try to say hello again but nothing. I then give Alexis the MO to give the land lady and that was that.

Fast forward to today,
I get a letter in my mailbox with no postage stamp:
And in this letter it states how I was disrespectful to their daughter when she called and They will not tolerate that because their daughters work with them at their family business. And she also complained about "standing outside of MY OWN house for 12 minutes in the rain" And she now wants me to either mail my rent to them or drop it off at their place because she refuses to stand outside of "her" house again. Oh she also said, "If you are not happy you are welcome to find a different house." And I am not! The only problem as of May I am stuck here unless I find something better via section 8. :(

Now let me explain something to you all. Yes, I know I had it good when it came to paying rent because the landlord (the husband) always came to me because he knew I could not drive and it was easier for him to come to me. When most landlords do expect you to go to them But in this case she is punishing me for her wrong doing. I would never make anyone STAND outside in the rain. And two, I was not disrespectful to her kid and if I was...who was the elder in this case? I feel I am being the one being disrespected.

I been very upset that this woman keeps calling this place her "home" when she does not even live here and even take care of the place. Sure it is her property but that is all in my book!

When I cool down some, I am planning on talking to her husband-the landlord who I been getting along with the most part and explain to him that this letter is unfair and I was not rude or being disrespectful in anyway. And I could not help the fact, she did not come in when my daughter opened the door for her etc..I thought she was in for quite out loud! And it was no 12 minutes, it was maybe 5 minutes. Hopefully he will listen and understand, if not I do not know what I am going to do. :(

One word that has been heavy on my mind lately...

The word that has been on mind lately is Burden . Why you ask? Because it has been a word I been hearing most of my life or to know to be. Let me explain a little, my parents have done wonderful things for me and have taken me places. But there are times when I do need something or would like to go some where but I will either get this answer: You know you can be a burden and it is hard on us to take you "everywhere" or You realize you are a burden right so it is hard on us to do everything you want...

Or worst yet, they may not have to say a word but yet make me feel like a burden by their actions (and this could be anyone in general no one in particular). I hate the word "burden" and even worse knowing that I am a burden to ANYONE. That is why I refuse to use the word on anyone or say to my daughter she is a burden to me because she is not. She may be a lot of things to me, but a burden is not one of them.
Here is a link of what "Burden" means:

It is now April-A week before Easter AND

AND it is freaking snowing what the heck!?!? It is not suppose be snowing in April is it now Spring! Give us a break here! Alexis is now on Spring Break and I had several outdoor activities for her and I too do this week. But they all got ruined or got changed because of this stupid weather. It is suppose to snow until this Weds. It is suppose to be in the 40s and in the 30s too AHHHH!

I do not know how much longer I be stuck inside with my precious Alexis ;).

Gotta face it, Have to be a green thumb IF

Yep gotta be a green thumb if I am going have a 1st grader around and who wants to be a Daisy Girl's Scout.

Alexis planted 3 flowers on 3-25-09; a Daisy, Lupia, and Sunflower which all stand a different meaning or oath in the Daisy Oath/promise. Well, anyhow two out of the three are starting to sprout out now and I took a picture of them to help keep track of them. But the amazing thing is the fact we planted them on Weds the 3-25-09 and the Sunflower, sprouted already on Friday, the 3-28-09! And still is sprouting slowly.

In the meantime, Alexis' 1st grade teacher had them plant a kidney bean plant this past Friday, 4-3-09 and it is only Monday 4-6-09 and that plant has already sprouted 3" since then!

Here are the pics to help keep to track and yes I will try to update the pictures as much as I can:

Why oh Why did the TRUTH hava come out now~ Mama's heart breaks!

On Friday, Alexis came home from school and said her teacher gave her an Easter basket but tried to say the Easter bunny came early but Alexis said I do not think he did Mommy I think it was Mrs. C who did the basket. Then she went, "Hey Mommy have you been the ones hiding my baskets not the Easter bunny!" And then the eyes, were looking right at me, so I told her the truth, I told her yes I have been but because it was a tradition of the story of the Easter Bunny and all parents do it. She then had to say, you are Santa too then because you are the tooth Fairy as well. At this point I wanted bang my head against the wall because MY fun was now over.. But she started to get upset and said, are you Santa too? Does that mean Santa does not exist?!? At that point, I told her yes I took over his role as Santa because at one time he did live. But to carry on his spirit all parents all over the world still give their children presents as Santa etc...And Alexis goes and that makes him happy right? I go yes it does sweetie. So that made her happy lol. But now she thinks the Easter Bunny also became old and died so that is why we parents had to carry on his job too. ;) And if that makes her happy I am too. But man why did she have to know the "truth" at age 6 lol. I did not know all this until at 8 yrs old. I told her she got me beat by 2 yrs lol. (She did not know what I meant though).

Alexis made it on the honor roll once again

I am very proud of my Alexis. She came home with her 3rd quarter report card and she had 2 As, one in Math and the other in language arts. And she got 2s and 1s in everything else. 2s mean She meet expectations in the classroom and well 1s mean she meant she meets above the expectations in the classroom. :) She however, did have two absences due to being sick for the first time this school year.
