One word that has been heavy on my mind lately...
The word that has been on mind lately is Burden . Why you ask? Because it has been a word I been hearing most of my life or to know to be. Let me explain a little, my parents have done wonderful things for me and have taken me places. But there are times when I do need something or would like to go some where but I will either get this answer: You know you can be a burden and it is hard on us to take you "everywhere" or You realize you are a burden right so it is hard on us to do everything you want...
Or worst yet, they may not have to say a word but yet make me feel like a burden by their actions (and this could be anyone in general no one in particular). I hate the word "burden" and even worse knowing that I am a burden to ANYONE. That is why I refuse to use the word on anyone or say to my daughter she is a burden to me because she is not. She may be a lot of things to me, but a burden is not one of them.
Here is a link of what "Burden" means:

Gotta face it, Have to be a green thumb IF
Yep gotta be a green thumb if I am going have a 1st grader around and who wants to be a Daisy Girl's Scout.
Alexis planted 3 flowers on 3-25-09; a Daisy, Lupia, and Sunflower which all stand a different meaning or oath in the Daisy Oath/promise. Well, anyhow two out of the three are starting to sprout out now and I took a picture of them to help keep track of them. But the amazing thing is the fact we planted them on Weds the 3-25-09 and the Sunflower, sprouted already on Friday, the 3-28-09! And still is sprouting slowly.
In the meantime, Alexis' 1st grade teacher had them plant a kidney bean plant this past Friday, 4-3-09 and it is only Monday 4-6-09 and that plant has already sprouted 3" since then!
Here are the pics to help keep to track and yes I will try to update the pictures as much as I can:

Why oh Why did the TRUTH hava come out now~ Mama's heart breaks!
On Friday, Alexis came home from school and said her teacher gave her an Easter basket but tried to say the Easter bunny came early but Alexis said I do not think he did Mommy I think it was Mrs. C who did the basket. Then she went, "Hey Mommy have you been the ones hiding my baskets not the Easter bunny!" And then the eyes, were looking right at me, so I told her the truth, I told her yes I have been but because it was a tradition of the story of the Easter Bunny and all parents do it. She then had to say, you are Santa too then because you are the tooth Fairy as well. At this point I wanted bang my head against the wall because MY fun was now over.. But she started to get upset and said, are you Santa too? Does that mean Santa does not exist?!? At that point, I told her yes I took over his role as Santa because at one time he did live. But to carry on his spirit all parents all over the world still give their children presents as Santa etc...And Alexis goes and that makes him happy right? I go yes it does sweetie. So that made her happy lol. But now she thinks the Easter Bunny also became old and died so that is why we parents had to carry on his job too. ;) And if that makes her happy I am too. But man why did she have to know the "truth" at age 6 lol. I did not know all this until at 8 yrs old. I told her she got me beat by 2 yrs lol. (She did not know what I meant though).

Alexis made it on the honor roll once again
I am very proud of my Alexis. She came home with her 3rd quarter report card and she had 2 As, one in Math and the other in language arts. And she got 2s and 1s in everything else. 2s mean She meet expectations in the classroom and well 1s mean she meant she meets above the expectations in the classroom. :) She however, did have two absences due to being sick for the first time this school year.
